      Detailed Description

The 2014 Amarone della Valpolicella from Musella is a majestic, full-bodied Italian red blend of 50% Corvinone, 40% Corvina, 5% Rondinella, and 5% Oseleta grown on the biodynamic, red clay and limestone hillsides of Verona, Veneto.

      Producer Information

Azienda Agricola Musella is a historic, family-run wine estate located in the picturesque Fibbio valley of San Martino Buon Albergo, just ten kilometers east of Verona in Italy’s Veneto region. Set within a sprawling 400-to-500-hectare biodiverse estate featuring forests, ancient olive groves, and a restored 16th-century rural court (which doubles as a country relais and winery), the property has been farmed strictly under Demeter-certified biodynamic principles since 1995. Guided by the Pasqua di Bisceglie family, the estate embraces natural farming, lunar cycles, and unique practices—including playing ambient classical and jazz music in the vineyards to support vine health. Their distinct eastern-Verona terroir, sitting off the beaten path of classic Valpolicella zones, yields an expressive, low-intervention portfolio that includes a fresh Emily Chardonnay Frizzante, white and rosé cuvées like Drago Bianco and Drago Rosa, and benchmark regional reds including Valpolicella Superiore, Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso, and a rich, structured Amarone della Valpolicella.
