The estate has 80 hectares (200 acres) of vineyards planted with a significant majority of Tempranillo (called Tinta de Toro here) as is typical of the region. A small amount Grenache makes up the rest of the plantings. San Román produces two wines, both red. The flagship is the Toro San Román, which has a higher production and commands a higher price. It is 100 percent Tempranillo and sees 24 months in both American and French oak of various ages.
