It has been held in high regard both at home and in export markets since a run of excellent vintages in the 1990s.The estate was formed in 1947 by Polish immigrant Stanislaus Sérafin, who had previously worked as a mason. His son Christian inherited the business in 1988, having been winemaker for the previous two decades. Now himself retired, his winemaker niece and his daughter run the estate.There are just 5.18 hectares (12.8 acres) of vineyards. About half of these are village-level Gevrey-Chambertin.
