Since 1995, Marcus Haag the grandchild of Willi Haag, has been in charge of the cellars, where he produces a wide range of wines focusing entirely on the Riesling variety combining tradition with innovation. All the grapes are sourced from their estate, just 6.5 hectares of vineyards, steep slate-soil vineyards. Some of the vineyards sites are located on the “Juffer”, the name of the steeped slope opposite the small town of Brauneberg and overlooking the river Mosel, sites with an exceptional potential ideally suited to the Riesling grape, here the best vineyards are situated around the sundial (Sonnenuhr) making this one of the top German ideal locations for Riesling winegrowing.
