Cesare Bussolo is a rising star wine producer based in La Morra, Piedmont, universally celebrated for crafting intensely pure, low-intervention Piedmont red wines that elegantly balance power with chiseled precision. Born and raised in the heart of the Barolo zone, Bussolo graduated from the prestigious Alba Wine School in 1998 and spent seven years honing his traditional winemaking skills at the Bovio winery. A massive turning point arrived in 2007 when he joined the iconic estate of his mentor and close friend, Roberto Voerzio, becoming his indispensable vineyard manager and right-hand man. While remaining Voerzio's core collaborator, Bussolo established his eponymous solo project in 2009, purchasing a historic 90-year-old plot in the Santa Lucia area of La Morra, which he fully replanted in 2010 to an ultra-dense format of 8,000 vines per hectare to drastically restrict per-vine yields to just one kilogram of grapes.
