Giovanni Chiappini is a highly respected, pioneer boutique wine estate situated along the iconic Via Bolgherese in the absolute heart of the Bolgheri DOC in Tuscany, Italy. Founded in 1978 by Giovanni Chiappini—the son of farmers who had migrated from the Marche region in the 1950s—the property transitioned from historic, multi-crop peasant farming into a world-class winemaking force that maintains a deeply rooted, authentic rural spirit. Spanning a total of 27 hectares integrating pristine vineyards and olive groves, the estate has been certified 100% organic since 2010, utilizing traditional green manure and sustainable farming across distinct plots like Ferruggini and Le Grottine. Today, the winery is passionately operated by the family's younger generation—led by daughters Martina Chiappini as the principal winemaker and Lisa Chiappini, a trained architect who returned to the land to design their state-of-the-art gravity cellar—while Giovanni continues to meticulously manage the vines.
