Alexandrea Winery is a modern, high-altitude Armenian wine producer founded in 2017 by Armenian-American tech entrepreneur Adam Kablanian (founder of Virage Logic). Guided by chief winemaker Jeff Ritchey (a UC Davis enology graduate with over 30 years of international winemaking and consulting experience), the estate bridges ancient Armenian viticultural traditions with contemporary New World precision. Cultivating over 75 hectares of vineyards across high-altitude, mineral-rich volcanic terroirs in three key Armenian regions—Proshyan (Kotayk), Aragatsotn, and Vayots Dzor—at elevations ranging from 1,100 to 1,315 meters above sea level, the winery farms native Armenian varieties like Voskehat, Areni, and Sireni alongside global grapes including Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Known for producing Armenia's first commercial Riesling and acclaimed blends like its White Cuvée (Voskehat and Chardonnay aged in stainless steel and Armenian oak), Alexandrea has earned multiple international accolades at competitions such as Decanter and the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
