A highly distinctive seven-year-old Abraham Bowman bourbon finished in barrels that previously held Hardywood Brewery’s Gingerbread Stout. The unusual finishing process adds layers of gingerbread spice, toasted nuts, cinnamon and dark malt to the mature bourbon. Released as a very limited 2013 expression, it showcases A. Smith Bowman’s experimental approach to whiskey maturation.

Nose: Warm gingerbread spice, toasted graham cracker, cinnamon and nutmeg with vanilla, toasted nuts and gentle caramel.
Palate: Medium-bodied and softly sweet, with gingerbread, caramelized sugar and toasted nuts followed by cinnamon, clove and hints of fruity nut bread.
Finish: Moderately long and warming, with lingering gingerbread spice, cinnamon, toasted nuts and soft oak.
