Aberfeldy Single Malt de 16 años de la fantástica destilería Aberfeldy, presentado en la segunda mitad de 2015 como parte de la serie Last Great Malts. Esta expresión finaliza en barricas de Oloroso Sherry, impartiendo un jugoso dulzor al whisky.

Notas de cata de Whisky escocés Aberfeldy 16 años

Nariz: Pasas y canela al principio, antes de pasar a caramelo, caramelo y rodaja de manzana. Un toque de malta floral también.

Boca: Bien redondo y meloso, pero nada perezoso. Más manzana al principio, a la que pronto se unieron gajos de clementina y miel sobre una tostada. Una chispa de jengibre.

Acabado: Pieles cerosas y roble.

La destilería Aberfeldy fue fundada por John Dewar & Sons, Ltd. en 1896 e inaugurada en 1898. La destilería está ubicada en las afueras del este de Aberfeldy, en la orilla sur del alto Tay.
