Aromatizado con extractos naturales de grosellas negras suecas, que crecen tan al norte como el Círculo Polar Ártico. Absolut Kurant se lanzó en 1992, en la época Cosmopolitan que siguió al lanzamiento de Absolut Citron, y el resultado fue el cóctel Metropolitan.

Nariz: En nariz recuerda a un dulce cocido de color oscuro con aromas de vainilla y violetas.

Boca: Un paladar que los lectores británicos pueden comparar con el vodka y el Ribena diluido.

Final: La fruta de grosella negra da paso a notas granuladas de pimienta negra que continúan en un final con sabor a fruta más sutil.

Absolut se produce en Åhus, la ciudad natal de LO Smith. También el lugar donde se cultiva el trigo utilizado para elaborar el vodka. Y dado que la forma en que se elabora Absolut no cambiará, tampoco cambiará el verdadero sabor del vodka.
