Nariz: Picante, cítrica. Fruta guisada, recuerdos de madera húmeda y un humo muy suave.

Boca: Espirituoso al principio, luego da paso a perfume, fruta, mermelada de ciruela. Un buen dulzor, humo de turba, uva.

Final: mermelada de Sevilla, flor, turba oscura.

Loch Indaal no es un lago, es una gran bahía excavada en la costa oeste de la isla de Islay. Bowmore se encuentra en la costa sur de esa bahía, directamente frente a Bruichladdich en el norte. La destilería se encuentra en la ciudad de Bowmore, que es la capital del distrito insular.
