The Untouchable, un whisky de pura malta Bruichladdich de 1988, de la serie Rare Casks de la destilería, ha sido madurado durante tres décadas en una combinación de barricas de bourbon rellenadas y hogsheads achaparrados rellenados. En nariz irrumpen aromas florales de heno seco, ranúnculos, prímulas y aceite de coco, seguidos de dulce de vainilla, gachas con almíbar dorado, cítricos dulces, sorbete, albaricoque y caramelo. El paladar ofrece inicialmente notas de coco, pomelo rosado, granola, malta y pan tostado, desarrollando lentamente especias de roble, tabaco de pipa y dulce de azúcar, con piña madura, mango y menta hacia el final.
