Excelente whisky escocés monograno de Cambus Distillery, que ha sido embotellado de forma independiente por The Whisky Cellar. Fue destilado en 1988 y envejecido en un par de toneles de roble americano durante 33 años, y finalmente se embotelló en 2022. Se produjeron 498 botellas.

Nariz: Toques de nuez, almendra y nuez, bañados en caramelo.

Boca: Más azúcar moreno y notas de nuez, con una pizca de chicle equilibrada por la riqueza del roble maduro.

Final: Cedro tostado, orejones y canela.

Información de la destilería

La destilería Cambus se remonta a principios del siglo XIX y se inauguró en 1836 en un pueblo que comparte su nombre cerca de Alloa. Aquí produjo silenciosamente sus whiskies, convirtiéndose en uno de los primeros miembros de Distillers Company Ltd. En 1913, un incendio destruyó gran parte de la destilería, obligándola a cerrar hasta 1938. Cambus produjo whisky de grano, gran parte del cual llegó a mezclas, aunque aún puedes encontrar embotellados independientes de su único grano si tienes suerte (es algo fantástico). La destilería fue cerrada en 1993 por su propietario, la UDV.
