Caol Ila 2006 8 años Carn Mor Strictly Limited Whisky escocés Notas de cata

Nariz: Notas de turba vegetal dulce y gotas de pera con toques de puré de plátano, piña enlatada, chucrut y ralladura de limón también.

Boca: Una ceniza persistente y también hollín, con un toque rápido de especias (pimienta negra molida y clavo), pero también un toque de cáscara de limón carbonizada, chocolate y melocotón.

Final: Ligeramente salado y especiado. Suaves frutos amarillos, manzana roja y un ahumado prolongado.

Información de la destilería

En 1846, el propietario de una destilería de Glasgow, Héctor Henderson, eligió una pequeña bahía en Sound of Islay para su destilería. Le puso el nombre del sonido en sí, usando el gaélico Caol Ila, y fue a través de este sonido que los pequeños barcos globo hacían sus viajes de ida y vuelta al continente, contribuyendo poco a poco a establecer la destilería como la más grande de Islay.
