Se pronuncia 'wu-meh-shoo' y es un licor tradicional japonés de Choya aromatizado con un tipo de ciruela japonesa, la ume. En realidad, es un tipo de albaricoque, el Ume sólo se cultiva en Japón, China, Corea y Taiwán y las mejores frutas se cultivan en el distrito Minabe de la prefectura de Wakayama, cerca de Osaka.
