El vino de uvas Mendocino viognier premium (¡caras!) se destila por lotes hasta alcanzar un 28 % de alcohol en el alambique de coñac Germain-Robin y luego se redestila hasta el 95 % reglamentario en un alambique Holstein. Este vodka de vino luego se mezcla con vodka destilado de trigo (el trigo da una sensación redonda en la boca). El "Straight" es increíblemente suave, sin nada de ese desagradable aroma a alcohol isopropílico.

Nariz: Uva, flores de naranjo y un toque de caramelo cremoso.

Boca: Suave y ligero con notas florales, un carácter casi de granola y un toque de ralladura de cítricos.

Acabado: Suave y liso.

Tamar Distillery Inc., American Craft Whisky Distillery se fundó en 2008 y elabora whisky Low Gap, ginebras Russell Henry, cócteles Fluid Dynamics y vodkas DSP 162. Utilizan métodos antiguos aprendidos durante un largo aprendizaje con un maestro brandy de Cognac. Crispin aplica el antiguo método de doble destilación utilizado en Cognac durante más de 500 años para elaborar Low Gap Whisky y todos sus productos.
