Created in partnership with celebrated ceramic artist Peter Pincus, Glenmorangie 50-Year-Old brings together our oldest-ever whisky and an exceptional work of art. Just 149 individually numbered decanters have been created, each accompanied by a bespoke porcelain vessel. Every vessel is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece; together, they form a breathtaking tapestry of colour inspired by the whisky's complex flavours.

THE ART OF PATIENCE

Over more than 1,000 days, Peter Pincus handcrafted 149 unique ceramic vessels to honour the exceptional whisky within. Using techniques never before seen in ceramic art, each precious vessel draws on up to 200 plaster components, exacting firing temperatures and a palette of 50 distinct colours.

For more than 180 years, our distillery has been shaped by the heart and soul of the Highlands: not only by the landscape, but by its people. Generations of skilled whisky makers have carried our craft forward, including Dr Bill Lumsden MBE, who selected the finest casks with a vision for exceptional long-term maturation.

FIFTY YEARS IN THE MAKING

Created from the last parcels of floor-malted barley, the oldest Glenmorangie ever released began its journey in the mid-1970s. Distillation in our signature tall copper stills gave the spirit extraordinary elegance and finesse. It was then laid down in a carefully selected combination of bourbon and sherry casks, where decades of maturation shaped its remarkable character.
