Este whisky de centeno 100 % puro se destiló a partir de un 90 % de centeno y un 10 % de centeno malteado. Después de la destilación, el centeno se colocó en barricas carbonizadas de roble americano de 26 galones durante más de dos años para que se suavizara y madurara. KROBAR Craft Distillery (el nombre es una mezcla de los fundadores Stephen Kroener y Joe Barton) destila bebidas espirituosas en Paso Robles, California. El centeno de la marca con fuerza de barrica se destila a 125 grados y luego se deja envejecer durante dos años y medio en barricas de roble americano de carbón #3 y #4 antes de ser embotellado con fuerza de barrica.
