La destilería data de 1573, en la dinastía Ming, y es el licor chino más antiguo producido de forma continua. Fue incluida en la primera "Lista del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial Nacional" en 2006. La empresa también produce un baijiu llamado Guojiao 1573 (Bodega Nacional 1573), en celebración de su fecha de fundación.
