Andrew Peary y Robert Bain fundaron la destilería Miltonduff en 1824. La destilería había operado previamente de manera ilícita en el sitio desde principios de siglo, pero luego de la aprobación de la Ley de Impuestos Especiales, Peary y Bain establecieron la destilería como una operación comercial legítima.
