Detailed Description
Detailed Description
Old Hoffman is a revived Kentucky bourbon name, bringing traditional bourbon character together with a modern double-oaked maturation approach. Aged for six years before undergoing additional maturation in a fresh, lightly charred American oak barrel, the whiskey develops layers of caramelized sweetness, rich fruit, and toasted wood. Its classic bourbon foundation is complemented by a rounded, dessert-like character, with butterscotch, cherry, vanilla, and baking spices shaping a rich and balanced profile.
Old Hoffman 6 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Butterscotch, vanilla, salted caramel, and Luxardo-style cherry lead, followed by brown sugar, warm toast, and gentle oak spice.
Palate: Rich and rounded, with cherry syrup, caramel, toffee, brown butter, and vanilla. Cinnamon, baking spices, and toasted oak provide structure, while brown sugar adds depth and sweetness.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering butterscotch, cinnamon sugar, red fruit, and toasted oak. A touch of dry oak spice balances the sweet, caramel-rich finish.
