Orphan Barrel Distillery tiene una tarea especial: encontrar los barriles de whisky más raros y exclusivos. Sus fisgones y rastreadores recorren los rincones de los almacenes y destilerías, agarrando cada tesoro líquido y llevándolo a Tullahoma, Tennessee. Embotellan las gemas y cuando se acaban, se acaban para siempre. Para esta botella, tuvieron que viajar hasta Dufftown, en Escocia, donde funcionó la destilería Pittyvaich entre 1974 y 1993 (fue demolida en 2002). De esas tristes cenizas surge este whisky escocés Single Malt de 26 años.

Nariz: Aromas frutales de manzanas rojas y una nariz de vainilla.

Boca: Paladar de vainilla con un toque de piel de naranja y un toque de especias de madera.

Final: Final cálido y dulce.

Información de la destilería

La destilería Pittyvaich, construida en 1974 por Arthur Bell & Sons, fue una de las destilerías escocesas más jóvenes mientras estuvo en funcionamiento. Estaba cerca de la destilería Dufftown en Dufftown.
