Old Elk Distillery fue fundada en 2013 por Curt y Nancy Richardson (creadores de OtterBox y Blue Ocean Enterprises) en Fort Collins, Colorado. La etiqueta es una colaboración con el maestro destilador Greg Metze, que constantemente produce vodkas, ginebras y bourbons artesanales de alta calidad.
