Red Top Rye is a revival of a historic American whiskey brand, bringing its distinctive rye character back to the modern whiskey market. Distilled from an unusual 100% rye mash bill and aged for seven years in new charred American oak barrels, it develops a fruit-forward profile that differs from the more familiar herbal and mint-heavy style of rye whiskey. Maturation in the warmer upper levels of the rickhouse encourages deeper interaction with the oak, adding structure and spice while allowing the grain’s natural character to shine. Bottled at 105 proof, this expression combines dried fruit, floral notes, pepper and rich baking spices.

Nose: Raisins and dried figs lead, followed by dried flowers, fresh rose petals, cinnamon, cardamom and white pepper. Freshly baked rye bread and honeyed butter add a savoury, comforting character.

Palate: Dried flowers, clove and ginger develop alongside fresh rose petals, white pepper and steeped pear. Warm barrel spices complement the distinctive rye grain character, creating a balance of fruit, floral notes and peppery intensity.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering fig, milk chocolate and gentle oak tannins. Dried fruit and rye spice gradually fade, leaving a satisfying combination of sweetness and spice.
