Retribution New American Oak PR005 is a single malt English whisky produced using Maris Otter barley malted at Warminster. Distilled in May 2023 in direct-fired copper pot stills, the spirit matured for three years in a new 200-litre American oak cask with a level-three char. The active oak maturation develops rich vanilla, buttery toffee, marzipan, and brown sugar, complemented by dried fruit and warming baking spices. Bottled in June 2026, this release offers a concentrated yet approachable profile, balancing sweet malt character with toasted oak and a long, warming finish.

Nose: Vanilla, buttery toffee, marzipan, and brown sugar, followed by rich fruitcake, cinnamon, clove, and toasted coconut.

Palate: Fudge, caramel, and almond paste lead into dried fruit and sweet malt. Black pepper, cinnamon, and toasted oak build alongside creamy vanilla and warming spice.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering toffee, vanilla, baking spices, and toasted oak.

Retribution Distilling Co. is an independent craft distillery based in Somerset, England, founded by Richard Lock.
