Treasure from the Isle of Skye, brought to us by Gordon & MacPhail! This remarkable find was distilled at Talisker in 1987, and spent the next 39 years slumbering in a single refill sherry butt. The cask was cracked open in 2026, yielding 451 cask strength bottles for the Connoisseurs Choice collection.

Nose: Fragrant raisins, tangerine zest and prunes with clove spice, walnut and a touch of leather. Subtle maritime smoke and mature oak sit underneath the rich dried-fruit character.

Palate: Rich and complex, with jammy figs, vibrant strawberries and cracked black pepper. Pressed apple, cocoa and dried tobacco develop alongside Talisker’s restrained smoky, coastal character.

Finish: Long, full and spicy, with lingering citrus, black pepper, dried fruit and a subtle hint of ash. Mature oak and gentle smoke remain as the fruit gradually fades.

Talisker Whisky is produced at the oldest working distillery on the Isle of Skye, enjoying a long and very successful history. Talisker has been the recipient of numerous accolades and medals from prestigious national and international competitions and boasts an incredible core range that includes Talisker 10 Year Old, a gold medal winner at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2017 and 'Best Islands Single Malt' at the 2017 World Whiskies Awards, as well as Talisker 18 Year Old, which won ‘Best Single Malt In The World' at the World Whiskies Awards 2007. To celebrate the Talisker distillery’s 175th anniversary in 2005, a no age statement commemorative single malt bottling was released. Two years later in 2007, Talisker 18 year old won ‘Best Single Malt In The World 2007’ at the World Whiskies Awards. Since 2008, the Talisker range has vastly expanded with a no age statement quartet and even a 40 year old expression. Talisker is now one of Diageo’s most distinguished single malt Scotch whisky brands.
