Vagabond Spirits Off Road 3.2 The Rum Aged under the Sea | 500ML

An unusual blend combining 60% Cape Verdean Grogue with 40% Guadeloupe rum, bringing together two distinctive sugar-cane traditions. After blending, the rum was aged in new 64-liter French oak casks submerged approximately 20 meters underwater off the coast of Brittany for 11 months. The marine maturation encourages natural reduction while exposing the spirit to seawater, pressure, temperature changes, and other maritime conditions.

Nose: Fresh sugar cane, tropical fruit, vanilla, light oak, caramel, and a noticeable maritime salinity.

Palate: Soft and rounded, with cane sweetness, ripe fruit, vanilla, gentle spice, toasted oak, and pronounced saline character.

Finish: Clean and lingering, with salted caramel, fresh cane, subtle oak, tropical fruit, and a distinctive mineral-sea breeze note.

The Off Road series reflects this philosophy by taking rums from different island traditions and subjecting them to unconventional aging environments. For Off Road 3.2, the company combined Cape Verdean Grogue with Guadeloupe rum before sending the filled French-oak barrels beneath the Atlantic off Brittany, creating a distinctive expression shaped by both tropical cane traditions and maritime maturation.
