For the past four years they have grown and harvested rye for use in their whiskey; last spring they began harvesting oak from their own forests to produce barrels; and in October, they opened their distillery in their 100+ year old hay barn, finally realizing their dream of producing a single-estate rye whiskey. On top of it all, they produce a Grade A ‘Robust Amber’ maple syrup from 1500 maple trees that line the hillsides around the farm.
