Prior to release, it is barrel-aged in French barriques for 16 to 18 months and is named after the winemaker who tended the vineyard for more than seven decades. Tenuta delle Terre Nere also porduces a range of Etna Bianco wines predominantly from Carricante, Catarratto, Inzolia and Grecanico.
