Its first vintage was 1959 and since then it has grown to be one of Rioja's largest wineries and most-represented Spanish wine brands with distribution to more than 70 countries. Campo Viejo sources fruit from all three sub-regions of Rioja: Rioja Alta, Rioja Oriental and Rioja Alavesa. The most important variety grown is Tempranillo, but the vineyards also include Garnacha, Graciano, Carignan and Maturana Tinta (Trousseau).
