Complex bouquet of fruit with red plum and blackberries dominant with further notes of black cherry and mulberry. Aniseed and notes of dried oregano add even more intrigue to the wine. It Is well supported by grippy powdery tannins which lead to a lingering fruity finish.

Warwick Estate is a wine estate and historic farmstead located in the Stellenbosch region of the Western Cape in South Africa. It is best known for its full-bodied red wines, particularly the Blue Lady Cabernet Sauvignon, and Trilogy Red, a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The property was purchased by the Ratcliffe family in 1964, who saw the land's potential for growing Vitis vinifera varieties and began converting the property to grapegrowing in the early 1980s. The first commercial wine release was in 1984 In total, there are 40 hectares (100 acres) planted to vine on the Warwick Estate, with Cabernet Sauvignon making up the majority. Warwick also sources fruit from the 80-hectare (200-acre) Uitkyk Estate vineyard to the south. Across the two sites, numerous varieties are harvested including: Sauvignon Blanc, Pinotage, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Chardonnay. The Blue Lady is a single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon generally selected from the best barrels produced.
