Producer Information
Discover Domaine Michel & Marc Rossignol in Volnay in the Burgundy region, where viticulture is a true passion passed down from generation to generation. Our six-hectare estate is located in the town of Volnay, and our family know-how has been passed down from father to son since the 16th century. A bottle of wine is the fruit of a full year of work: it all begins with the work of pruning and burning the branches, which keeps us busy from November to March. At the beginning of April, it is time to fold the wands before the buds awaken. From May to June, the vines can grow up to 10 cm per day. Subsequently, summer will vary the color of the bunches and allow the maturity of our grapes. The harvest will close the year of work in the vineyard, and for optimum quality, these are carried out by hand by around twenty people. Pinot noir will produce red wines , and alongside, Chardonnay will produce white wines . Our wines are made with respect for tradition and then aged in oak barrels for between 11 and 18 months. During the aging period, we taste all our wines several times to see their evolution. Finally, our wines are analyzed before being bottled by us. The bottles will then be stored in our cellars until they are sold.
