A bold and smoky peated single malt from Caperdronich, matured in a single barrel for 18 years before being bottled as part of the Secret Speyside Collection. Aromas of bonfire smoke, poached pears and hot tar fill the nose, complemented by notes of baked apple pie, smouldering driftwood, orange zest and aromatic smoke throughout the palate.Caperdonich distillery was dismantled in its entirety back in 2011, making it not only closed, but firmly lost. As part of the Secret Speyside series, no fewer than six individual bottlings of Caperdonich single malt whiskies are now available to buy.

Nose: Some floral and malty hints.

Palate: Complemented by notes of baked apple pie, smouldering driftwood, orange zest and aromatic smoke throughout the palate.

Distillery Information

The Caperdonich distillery was a producer of Speyside single malt Scotch whisky that operated between 1898 and 1902, and then again between 1965 and 2002. Caperdonich whisky was a component of some blends of Chivas Regal.
