Detailed Description
Under the helm of Master Distiller Nathan Thompson-Avolino since 2013, three mainstay Whiskey Del Bac expressions are produced (including the Dorado), along with an evolving fourth known as the Distiller’s Cut. The Distiller’s Cut bottlings are cask strength, American single malt expressions billed as “never sourced, never chill filtered” blends produced in small batches two to three times each year. The malts, cask types and finishing methods used vary each year.
Hamilton Distillers Del Bac Distiller’s Cut 19-3 Whiskey Tasting Notes.
Nose: Creamed brown sugar and vanilla. Walnuts and smokey pipe tobacco.
Palate: Burnt caramel, rich cacao, tang and warming char.
Finish: With a soft finish of campfire smoke and spice.
Distillery Information
Demerara Distillers operates the last remaining distillery in Guyana at Plantation Diamond on the East bank of the Demerara River. Here they have consolidated all the old original stills, marques and traditional skills which make Demerara Rum so distinctive.
