Bottled in 03.10.2016 at 50.3% this bottle will make a fine addition to any Scotland Single Malt whisky lover. Please note that this Archives (Arc) is Sherry Hogshead. It is also worth mentioning that this is uncolored, non-chillfiltered, cask strength, single cask whisky edition of Springbank.
Springbank 1999 2016 ARC 17 Year Tasting Notes
Nose: Complex and generous offering of various aromas, dried fruit, chocolate and malty interplay with the familiar meaty, overnight butter notes. Doses of mineral, sour cream, some distant sweet ripe jack-fruit.
Palate: Mellow and soft, creamy, sulphur-y on layer of used cooking oil, tar, dark hue, reasonably deep characters. A 'naked' Springbank without the dress (bourbon cask). A gorgeous women without makeup, a beauty on its nature way.
Finish: Medium-long, mellow but not weak, vintage leather, seasoned book shelf, old barns, full and rounded. Don't look for the zest, as the zesty notes are not in the context here.

The Springbank distillery is a family-owned single malt whisky distillery on the Kintyre Peninsula in western Scotland. It is owned by J & A Mitchell & Company, which also owns the Glengyle distillery, the oldest independent bottler, William Cadenheads, and several blended scotch labels
