Well-sherried Irish single malt whiskey here from The Irishman range, matured for 17 years before being bottled up at 56% ABV. Sublime stuff, packed full of dried fruit and festive spice notes.
The Irishman 17 Year Old Irish Whiskey | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Sultanas and prunes, with a drizzle of sherry. Solid core of malty notes, and a touch of toasted almond.
Palate: Grilled pear and plum, more sultanas, a little apricot jam, before a big helping of cinnamon and ginger appears.
Finish: Red wine richness with some dry oak.
