Timorous Beastie x WEST Brewery Beer Cask Finish Blended Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML

Douglas Laing collaborated with Glasgow's WEST Brewery for this limited edition of its beloved blended malt, Timorous Beastie. The casks used to finish this whisky went full cycle, first used to mature classic Timorous Beastie, they were then filled with WEST's WESTWERK03, a rich Doppelbock dark lager, before being used to finish this limited batch of the Beastie. The resulting profile is packed with malty, chocolatey depth, joining rich honey and sweet, creamy grist beneath.

Nose: Aroma is very pleasant and delightful.

Palate: On the palate it is very elegant, rich and full-bodied.

Finish: Elegant long-lasting aftertaste.

Distillery Information

Timorous Beastie is a Scotch whisky with a unique character. It's a blended malt, made from single malts from several distilleries but without any grain whisky. The name comes from Robert Burns' poem "To a Mouse". It reflects the brand's connection to Scottish culture. Douglas Laing & Co., an independent family-owned company, produces Timorous Beastie. They have been making whisky since 1948. They are known for their blending skills. Timorous Beastie is a blend of Highland malts. It includes single malts from distilleries like Dalmore, Glengoyne, and Glen Garioch. Timorous Beastie does not have an age statement. This lets the blenders choose whiskies based on flavour, not age. The whisky is bottled at a higher proof and is non-chill-filtered. This keeps its full body and natural flavours. Douglas Laing does not add artificial colouring to their whiskies.
