Yo burgers, imma let you finish, but pizza is one of the best foods of all time.
Did you know that 94 percent of Americans eat pizza regularly? That's about one in eight Americans eating pizza on any given day. So considering that May 15th is National Pizza Party Day, it’s only fitting to throw an unforgettable virtual pizza party to commend the food staple.
This may sound cheesy, but all you need for a dough-lightful pizza party are good pies, refreshing cocktails, and close friends. So we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite pizza and cocktail pairings you never knew you kneaded.
Onion Pizza and a Martini
A dry, gin-based martini is a perfect match for onion pizza’s fresh and strong flavor. You can further play up the saltiness of an onion pizza by making the martini dirty.
When making your martini, opt for Aviation American Gin. This top-rated gin offers a well-balanced approach by combining juniper with an adventurous blend of lavender, sweet & bitter orange peel, cardamom, coriander, Indian sarsaparilla, and anise seed.
Dirty Martini
INGREDIENTS
2 oz Aviation American Gin
.75 oz dry vermouth
.75 oz olive brine
olives
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with ice. Stir for 30 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass using a Hawthorne strainer to catch some of the chunkier olive bits. Garnish with three olives.

Margherita Pizza and a Negroni
A classic pie, the simple Margherita pizza’s light trio of toppings—fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomato—can be emphasized when paired with the refreshing ingredients of a negroni.
For your negroni, choose a smoother gin. We recommend Hendrick’s. Labeled the “Best Gin in the World” by the Wall Street Journal, this gin is made up of a unique blend of botanicals, including Bulgarian Rose petal and cucumber.

Sausage and Peppers Pizza and a Daiquiri
To balance out its hearty flavors, meat-heavy pizza pairs best with a tart cocktail. We recommend making the classic daiquiri, whose bright taste notes complement the sausage and pepper.
To make a daiquiri, you’ll need the right rum. Sammy's Beach Bar Rum is aged up to five years and is great in cocktails. Not only do you enjoy an intense and wonderful aroma with Sammy's Beach Bar Rum, but you will also experience tropical notes of coconut and banana.
