Onion Pizza and a Martini

A dry, gin-based martini is a perfect match for onion pizza’s fresh and strong flavor. You can further play up the saltiness of an onion pizza by making the martini dirty.

Dirty Martini 

INGREDIENTS

2 oz Aviation American Gin

.75 oz dry vermouth

.75 oz olive brine

DIRECTIONS

Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with ice. Stir for 30 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass using a Hawthorne strainer to catch some of the chunkier olive bits. Garnish with three olives.

Bloody Mary

INGREDIENTS

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 cup ice cubes

1 (1.5 fluid ounce) Bellion Spirits vodka

3/4 cup spicy tomato-vegetable juice cocktail

2 dashes Worcestershire sauce

1 dash hot pepper sauce

salt and pepper to taste

1 stalk celery

2 stuffed green olives

DIRECTIONS

Salt the rim of a tall glass. Fill the glass with ice cubes. In a cocktail mixer full of ice, combine the vodka, vegetable juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, salt, and pepper. Shake vigorously and strain into the glass. Garnish with a stalk of celery and olives stuck onto a toothpick.

Sausage and Peppers Pizza and a Daiquiri
