Chambolle-Musigny is often presented as the most “feminine” of Côte de Nuits wines. Intensity and finesse are expressed with elegant subtlety. The wines tend to have aromas of raspberries, strawberries and violets with fine, soft tannins.

In the village of Arcenant, in the heart of Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, we are proud to present Domaine Olivier Jouan to you. Discreet but very effective, Olivier Jouan has not rested on his laurels. He started with a few Morey-Saint-Denis vines inherited from his father and completed his estate with the acquisition of very pretty plots. Trained at the Beaune wine high school, he quickly made clear and confident choices. In the vineyard, he favors quality over quantity and has become a fan of small yields. Concerned about preserving the environment and its terroirs as much as possible, Olivier Jouan has also turned to an organic approach to viticulture. Its 8.5 hectares of Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin and Morey Saint-Denis are pampered and the grapes are treated with the greatest respect after the harvest. The wines are elegant, careful and faithful to their terroir. An area to follow (very) closely.
