        Reviews:

        • Wine Advocate: The 2016 Syrah Rodger's Creek Vineyard incorporates 8% Viognier and was matured for two years in barrel. Medium ruby-purple in color, it has generous aromas of red and black cherries and blueberries with accents of milk chocolate, allspice and garrigue. The palate is full-bodied, fresh and chalky with a concentrated core of ripe fruit and a long, spicy finish.
        • Jeb Dunnuck: The 2016 Syrah Rodgers Creek Vineyard has classic Rhône-inspired markers of savory cured meats, black pepper, lavender, and black plum. It displays richness without weight and has fine structure throughout.

The richer, full-bodied style is created through the use of indigenous yeasts, prolonged sur lie ageing, and the use of malolactic and new oak barrel fermentation.Unsurpringly, varietal Chardonnay features heavily in the portfolio. Grapes are sourced from notable vineyards such as Ritchie Vineyard in Russian River as well as Hyde in the Carneros of Napa Valley.Ramey also produces a collection of Cabernet Sauvignon, most notably from the Pedregal Vineyard in Oakville as well as a small amount of Syrah. These wines are well-received and met with high acclaim.
