                  Producer Information

Our Ehlen family has been running the winery for 350 years. A few years ago, Stephan Ehlen handed over the business to Helma Justen, Stefan Justen's wife, for reasons of age. Viticulture technician and owner of the Meulenhof winery Stefan Justen has enjoyed national and international recognition for his Riesling wines for many years. Stephan Ehlen is still involved in the expansion of the Ehlen wines and supports the company with advice and support. In addition to wine, we have also been distilling schnapps at Meulenhof since 1932. Gentle processing ensures the quality of winemaking. Less is more. Only the most necessary technical steps are carried out because the wine should have the time it needs to develop and mature. Separate storage, natural pre-clarification and temperature-controlled fermentation are the prerequisites for a special wine. Characteristics, corners and edges, but also diversity and elegance are retained in the wines. This ensures long-lasting wines with high development potential. Everything has been done right when almost 100% of the established quality can also be bottled.
