Detailed Description
Apogee XII from the Bimber team in London is created using a blend of single malts from Speyside and the Highlands, aged for at least 12 years. After blending, the whisky was given an extra rest in ex-bourbon casks that had also previously been used to mature Bimber's very own single malt whisky. An intriguing release from Bimber, a distillery that has been plenty busy impressing us with its fab range of spirits (particularly those aforementioned whiskies).
Bimber Apogee XII 12 Year Old Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Nutmeg, honeycomb, brown sugar, soft oak, cooked orchard fruits.
Palate: Peaches in syrup, crushed peppercorns, menthol, a hint of warming cedar.
Finish: Crunchy pear and a smidge of lemon, with layers of caramel.
