Cascahuin 55-25 Anejo Tequila

Cascahuín 55-25 Añejo is a limited-edition 100% Blue Weber agave tequila created to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Destilería Cascahuín. The expression combines 90% tequila aged for 12 months in seasoned ex-Sherry casks with 10% Cascahuín Añejo aged for 48 months in American oak. The result is a rich, layered tequila where cooked agave meets dried fruit, caramel, chocolate, toasted nuts, and warm spice.

Cascahuin 55-25 Anejo Tequila Tasting Notes

Nose: Cooked agave, raisins, cherry, almond, dried stone fruit, toasted nuts, and subtle Sherry sweetness.

Palate: Rich cooked agave, caramel, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, toasted nuts, gentle spice, and soft oak.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering agave, dried fruit, chocolate, oak spice, and a pleasant dry nuttiness.

Distillery Information

Tequila Cascahuín traces its roots to 1904 and operates from its historic distillery in El Arenal, Jalisco. The family-run producer is known for traditional tequila production using Blue Weber agave from the Valles region, masonry-oven cooking, natural spring water, and copper distillation. Cascahuín maintains a strong emphasis on preserving the natural character of cooked agave and producing tequila without additives. The 55-25 was created as a special anniversary bottling, bringing together traditional Cascahuín tequila with an unusually prominent Sherry-cask influence.
