Glencadam 15 has gone from strength to strength since a packaging facelift in 2009, at which time the strength was upped to 46% by owners Angus Dundee, who took over the distillery from Allied in 2003. An undersung distillery that is now starting to stretch its wings with some very good value for money whiskies.

Glencadam 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Fragrant fresh creamy barley with complex and delicate fruity aromas: stewed pear and green apple skin with sweet-scented overripe peach.

Palate: Medium bodied, grassy creamy fruit with light nutty notes and a wack of spicy oak. Judicious watering is key to appreciating this barley rich malt at its best.

Finish: Citrus emerges in the lightly spiced, creamy barley finish.

The Glencadam distillery is a distillery in Brechin, Angus, Scotland that produces single malt Scotch whisky. The distillery is owned by Angus Dundee plc and produces one malt whisky, with the remainder of production sold to blenders or used within Angus Dundee plc for use in blended whisky brands.
