A smoked silver tequila here from Maestro Dobel. While smoky agave notes are more commonly associated with tequila's more rustic brother Mezcal, the distillers from Maestro Dobel looked to replicate the taste of tequila from the 17th century by using Mesquite wood in the production process. This has introduced robust, smoky elements to the floral, fruity tequila.
Maestro Dobel Humito Smoked Silver Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: Aroma notably smoky and complex, with forward notes of encino and mesquite wood and fruity floral tones. Perfectly balanced sensations of buttery caramel, cooked agave, olive and dried fruit.
Palate: A delicate and satisfying bouquet of sweet caramel flavors with maple and honey top notes, layered with the essence of fresh cut mesquite wood.
Finish: The finish is long on the palate with hints of roast nuts and vanilla.
