Martell Blue Swift VSOP | 375ML Tasting Notes
Nose: A rich, luxurious aroma of caramelized pear and banana. A light sweetness turns into coconut and vanilla, and a spicy menthol scent.
Palate: Gourmet, round and incredibly silky. There are fresh flavors of ginger and white fruits like plums.
Finish: The smooth finish of a toasted oak cask fills the mouth in the end.
Distillery Information
Jean Martell, a young Jersey merchant established his own trading company in Gatebourse, Cognac, on the Charente River, and thus founded one of the first cognac houses. Martell used grapes from vineyards in the Borderie subregion and used Tronçais oak for its casks, resulting in a cognac that was exceptionally smooth.
