Paqui Anejo Tequila

PaQui Tequila claims its name originates from the Aztec phrase "to be happy," which is certainly the worthy goal of any self-respecting tequila. The tequila is made in traditional, small-batch distillation where they claim the distiller seeks out specific aromas and flavors for the spirit. According to the Wine Enthusiast (Kara Newman, May, 2013), the yeast used for fermentation is one traditionally used for wine, which also may offer some distinguishing character.

Paqui Anejo Tequila Tasting Notes

Nose: Medium oak wood, vanilla and raisins with faint hint of citrus.

Palate: Smooth and sweet. Distinct oak wood complemented by vanilla, raisins and honey, with a hint of melon.

Finish: Caramel and smoky notes.
