Distillery Information

1831 – the Talisker Distillery opens after the brother purchase the lease from Clan Macleod. 1848 – North of Scotland bank take control of the distillery after the brothers are made bankrupt. 1857 – Donald MacLennan purchases the distillery from the bank for £500.
