The 400-hectare (988-acre) estate has been owned by the Marchi brothers since 1933, and makes a range of mainly red Toscana IGT wines, as well as a single Chianti Classico. The estate comprises 25 hectares (62 acres) of vineyards that are mainly planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, with smaller quantities of Sangiovese and Fiano. The soils generally consist of rocks, sand and clay, and are rich in limestone. The vineyards are planted on a natural amphitheater that provides ideal sun exposure and optimal ripening conditions for grape cultivation. I Collazzi's portfolio includes three red Toscana IGT wines, as well as a single white wine made from Fiano that falls under the same classification. The flagship wine, known simply as Collazzi, is a classic Bordeaux blend made of hand-harvested Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Each grape variety is vinified separately and fermented in stainless steel tanks before maceration on the skins.
